Fees
The doctors practising at Eastern Shore Doctors are private billing, and fees are payable at the end of the consultation.
Fees will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor, the complexity of your medical condition and the doctor you see. The fees below are indicative of fees billed by doctors in the Practice, but patients should be aware that individual doctors may bill at slightly different rates.
Payment Terms
It is practice policy that all accounts are settled in full on the day of your consultation. Payments may be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS and credit card (MasterCard and Visa card cards accepted). If you have a debit or savings card, you will receive your Medicare Rebate almost instantly. Otherwise, upon payment of your account, our staff will lodge your claim with Medicare. Provided you have your bank details registered with Medicare, your rebate will be forwarded directly into your nominated bank account within four days.
These fees are determined by Practice Policy and are reviewed annually.

Please note, there will be an account fee of $30 for all accounts not paid on the day.
*The patient booked for the appointment must be present in the consultation in order to be eligible for the Medicare rebate.
**Please note: Dr Regan Shaw and Dr Toby Ekins charge the full Standard Fee for consultations with Children 12 years and under.
Some medical consumables used as part of your treatment, such as dressings, may attract a separate fee.
Any prescriptions or referrals done outside of a consultation will incur a $40 fee which cannot be claimed from Medicare.
Travel Clinic consultations

Multiple family members attending for a combined Travel Consultation will not all be charged the full fee noted above.
Cancellations
From time to time, circumstances arise whereby you are not able to keep an appointment. In this event, we ask that you cancel your appointment by calling our receptionists at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. This allows other patients the opportunity to make an appointment. Failure to do so will result in a non-attendance fee of $40.00 for a standard or $70.00 for an extended consultation which will not be able to be claimed from Medicare.
