Seeking Payroll and Finance Officer

Eastern Shore Doctors operates three General Practice locations and the Hobart Skin Cancer Clinic all located on the Eastern Shore.

A collaborative administrative team provides support to the organisation which includes doctors, nurses, receptionists and the management team.

The individual we are seeking will have comprehenive knowledge and experience in the following areas;

• Book keeping and accounting, accounts receivable and payable.
• Working with the Xero accounting system.
• The application of GST.
• Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements.
• The Payroll and Finance Officer will ensure the delivery of;
• appropriate, accurate and timely payroll systems management,
• purchase and sales management,
• payment of creditors invoices within appropriate time frames,
• relevant business requirements (such as superannuation, Payroll tax, bank reconciliations, IAS etc.), and
• relevant reporting requirements such as monthly performance indicators.

The ideal candidate will possess;

• A broad understanding of the requirements of small to medium business.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to advise on improvements relevant to the payroll and finance.
• Skills in accounting, book keeping and business reporting.
• Knowledge of employment conditions in relation to payroll.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Competence, reliability, honesty and a commitment to continuing education.
